Heeeeee, summer's finally here! You know what that means? My little girl gets to spend her vacation with me for three solid months! Ah, I'm so happy! Amara is growing up so fast. She's my daughter, of course! The apple of my eye, my darling sunshine; she is my everything.

Speaking of children, how's Matthias doing?

But you and Eva just had the wedding and you said you guys were waiting...

He's doing alright. He's been a big grumpyhead the past couple of days.

Yeah, it seems like only yesterday that Eva and I were married ...

Waiting? I waited ten years for Eva to finally agree to having kids. I think the day Eva became pregnant was the happiest day of my life!

Aw, what's wrong? I hope things are going well at home.

Yup! Her name is Amara and she's five years old. She's got dark hair and golden eyes, just like me! Now that school is out for summer session, I get to spend more time with her. ^__^

That's delightful! I wasn't aware you had one, but she sounds like a true darling.

Oh yeah. She's just a little bundle of energy, always running around and doing something. Just like her mother. She likes to draw pictures of all the creatures she sees on Oban. I hang them on the wall in my study.

Hang on. Backtrack for a minute. Jordan, what year is it for you? I mean, how many years have we known each other?

It's the year 3000 now. Eva and I have been married for fifteen years. I mean, it was really wild, that New Year's party; the new millennium and all that. It's like the entire planet Earth was celebrating!

Nyah?? You've got a kid already? But you just got married, like, a month ago!

A month ago? What are you talking about? We just celebrated out fifteenth anniversary a few weeks ago.

I had to wait ten long years, but Eva finally gave me a daughter! I love her so much. Don Wei and Susan spoil her terribly.

Uh ... okay then.

So why wasn't I invited to the baby shower?!?

You were invited, don't you remember? I mean, you did help me out during our wedding, so it's the least I could have done!

Of course I'm awake! What is with everyone here? No one seems to remember that I have a daughter!

That would be because to us you haven't been married nine months, let alone fifteen years.

Maybe there's some sort of glitch in your transmission that's sending it back in time?

I have no idea. I never really was all that good with technology, you know that.
