[RL] Valentine's Day with Germany

Italy was so happy. For one, it was ~Valentine's Day~, which was an especially nice holiday, all things considered, since it involved lots of love and romance and candy. Germany...was a wreck. An absolute wreck. He was hiding it well from the other man, because it wouldn't do to let him know that anything was up, but. He was absolutely beside himself with nerves. He... He was going to do it. He really was going to do it. He. He had a box in his pocket and in that box was a ring. And it was not just any ring. It was an engagement ring.

...Germany felt like his heart was going to crawl out of his throat and run for the hills. The only thing that kept him focused on the here and now was Italy's hand in his, Italy happily humming away, smiling at him as they sat down at the table.

"...seems like a nice place," Germany noted, swallowing hard to keep his voice from cracking.

"It does!" Italy chirped as they walked to their table, which had a lovely window view. Italy sat down and tilted his head up, able to smell the scent of food wafting from the restaurant's kitchen. "Mmm, and the cooking smells absolutely delicious!"

Germany nodded. "I'm glad you think so," he said, taking a seat as he tried not to fidget too nervously. He could feel the box burning a hole in his pocket. "You should order what you like. I'll be treating today." Germany seemed to have more money lately, anyway, as it turned out.

"Aww, thank you, Germany!" Italy said, wearing a huge smile. "You're so nice. Veh, well, don't order any dessert, okay? I made a nice big cake for you back home that I think you'll like lots."
