Blah, Mondays.
How was everyone's weekend? Did you have a Sunday that was as lazy as mine? Seriously, I never made it out of pajamas yesterday. It was rather awesome, if you ask me. I love Sundays like that. Anyway, let's get down to some song selections.
7) Joe Hisaishi - Summer
Joe Hisaishi is one of my favorite composers ever. A lot of his songs have a melancholy feel to them, but this piece is pure joy for me. I'd highly recommend the movie it's from, Kikujiro, as well.
8) Trespassers William - Different Stars
I first heard this song back in 2004 in the movie A Love Song for Bobby Long, and it made me think of a close friend that had moved away during high school. I lost touch with him for a number of years and always wondered how he was doing and hoping life was being kind to him. This song seemed to sum up a lot of those feelings.
9) Yann Tiersen - Comptine D'un Autre été L'après-midi
If any of you have not seen Amélie, I'd suggest you remedy that today. It is a beautiful, happy, and whimsical movie that never fails to cheer me up. The soundtrack is absolutely gorgeous, too, as evidenced by this song.
Well, apparently this post inadvertently turned into soundtrack selections. Alright, time to get ready for work. Can't I just stay in bed and watch these movies instead? :(
