FWIW, larpwriting and I spent a couple thou on a very nice little wedding. I mean it was nicely catered, we had a pretty site, pretty costumes, flowers, all that. Granted that was 15 years ago, but I still can't see $20K unless you have that to throw away. Just not worth it.
