Excuse me, but I know how governments work as well - a variety of versions, ones you've probably never even heard of before. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Senator Padmé Naberrie Amidala of the Chommell Sector, Chairwoman of the Loyalist Committee, and Dowager Queen of the Planet Naboo. I have been involved in governmental proceedings since I was eight years old. Speaking from over twenty years of experience leading a planet and representing a sector within a legislative body made up of thousands of worlds, each with their own unique system of government, I assure you, this Alliance is not operating under any dysfunctional means.

Only twenty years experience? Perhaps I'm missing something, Senator. When were Alliance elections held? When did the residents of Econtra vote for the leaders of the Alliance, and when did the compound as a whole accept the Alliance as its representation?

It never did. It hasn't accepted them, it is not accepting them, and it will not accept them, and I shall not be led along like some stupid mainlander.

I said over twenty years, not only. Forgive a lady for not wanting to speak of her age, it's not proper to do so.

Never did? Perhaps you should look more into the facts you are speaking from - if you have facts, that is. Rallies were called and meetings held, positions discussed and handed out accordingly. The people who make up the Alliance wanted to do something to benefit this compound; it is not their fault if not everyone agreed - and people will not always agree. People disagree, it's their nature. It is not the fault of those involved that others failed to show or put fourth effort to get involved. What would you have them done, force involvement? It's about volunteering one's services, not making someone who's able and unwilling do what they do not wish to.

If you don't with to be, then that is your choice, sir. No one is forcing your hand.

If the people did not volunteer their input... If they did not wish to participate... perhaps that should tell you something. I doubt many of us wish to be governed. Many of us here are used to governing, and I know that I, for certain, will brook no orders and laws presented by an organization like this Alliance.

We are a mere two hundred at best, Senator. Most all of us hail from completely different universes. You can no more guarantee my best interests than a chrysanthemum can play piano.

You shouldn't threaten things you can't carry out, Kragok. Everyone's on edge right now, don't make the situation worse by trying to throw your weight around.

What makes you say I can't carry it out?

We won't let everything we've managed to put together be torn back down.

Let what be torn down, exactly? A cabal of idealism and self-righteous fervor? I see nothing that needs to be kept.

Is that right? Please explain. There seems to be quite a bit of loud talking about this Alliance and a death of some sort.

Yes. There's a controversy raised over the death of this Harth Fray, a vampire who is apparently responsible for the recent burial of several residents. I know for a fact he's made himself trouble repeatedly, and as I recall, vampires feed off of blood. I am failing to see the negative of killing him.

On another note, isn't killing him impossible? He's already dead, after all.

I can't really say I'm a fan of blood either, although I see that as little reason to kill, unless he actually did enjoy burying people alive. People who do that for fun apparently need to be killed if that is there basis. How uninspired.

Yes, but we ARE here, aren't we? Who's to say what is the end of a person, truly?

The people buried were, by the sounds of it, mostly children. I wonder, then, whether anyone could have a purpose for burying someone alive beyond sheer twisted entertainment and sadism.

Perhaps. Still, these Alliance members will answer one way or the other.

Don't you think that, by doing what you claim, you're mere stooping down to the level you're claiming to hate?

The ends more than justify the means. When did I claim to hate using death to accomplish goals?

I never said that... merely stated that your means aren't better than the ones you seem to want to keep an eye on.
