Happy New Year!

In keeping with previous years, here's what I'm reading in 2010.
( 2007, 2008, and 2009)

1) Terry Pratchett: Carpet People (audio, finished 01-04) One of his few pre-Discworld books, it has apparently been described as "Lord of the Rings on a rug". Which is pretty apt.

He's not the guy that wrote that book we had from the library years ago about the 2-D world is he?

The only truly 2D world I can think of is Flatland, which isn't what we had from the library. Are you thinking of the very small (but 3D) world of the kid's toy pipe-cleaner man? That was Me and Frumpet, by Evans G Valens.

Terry Pratchett wrote that audio book you and I listened to when I was home between Mexico and Boston, The Wee Free Men, about the girl who befriends pixies and has to save her brother from the Elf queen. That's set on Discworld, which is a flat disc of a world (but not 2D).

Don't suppose you happened to watch Big Bang Theory on network tv last night? There was a humerous plot-line involving "Flatland" pretty funny actually.
