I would like to point out that while my photos will suck a lot more than that one, I saw the steam tornado first. *ahem*, I guess I mean... Awesome pic!

For all that time we walked around Grand Prismatic Spring, I didn't see any other tornadoes... pretty neat that we caught it at the right time!

I loved Yellowstone last time I went, and I was almost consumed by the flames! (Hmm, that giant fire was a long time ago.)

It's one of the most fantastical places I've ever visited.

There are still lots of signs from the big fire, but mostly things are regrowing. Some areas have returned to meadow, and there are vast forests of waist-high fir trees. Luckily there were no fires while we were there, though!

As a random aside, an entire hillside in Bayfront Park caught fire yesterday. We watched the smoke cloud from the third-floor windows... the debate rages as to whether or not it was a controlled burn.
