Ingress and infamy.

Jan 23, 2015 10:29

Herein lies a rather longish post about Niantic Labs' game Ingress.

Read on if you're very, very bored. Or interested in that sort of thing.

Speaking as a smurf, I'd like to apologise for the fact that some people on the team are quite clearly twats..

For what it's worth, it's probably just the result of a deep sense of impotence he feels on account of how achieving anything better than a P5 is probably a struggle for him in London...

Thanks for your words!

I think I started playing just as the tide really started turning and I do appreciate that a number of the smurfs feel a bit under the hammer.

And it is easy to get too involved in the game - thinking here of a sunny day in Venice last October - stabbing my phone and swearing as I tried to recharge a portal 1000 miles away!

(I was in one of the most unusual cities in the world - and getting slightly worked up about an imaginary item being damaged back in England...)

It is still heartening that there are a large number of Ingress people who can smash your stuff one hour and then have a decent drink and talk in a pub with you an hour later.

(We've also been taking a friend who joined the wrong side (filthy smurfs!) around our area and helping her with smashing and linking and fielding; new blood is always good, even if it's the wrong colour.)

Hi ! Nothing to say about Ingress, sadly (and their website is rather uninformative), but ... could you lj-cut or resize the images, they're doing unfortunate things to my reading page ? :)

if there's a code, it's not global at least, around here the rule is more to hunt down peoples guardians if possible.

29 days is my own record...but I must admit I haven't tried that hard.
