Apologizing to enemies

I wonder how far we are taking this concept of apologizing to enemies. To make some enemies happy, you would have to apologize for the existence of BLT's, MTV, and women walking around without head coverings. You would also have to apologize for womens' rights, the existence of non Islamic religions, and any science not directly related to making bombs.
Have fun chopping up your laundry boxes.
