Blah! That's one one of those newfangled ones! I prefer the gas powered TVs myself. They seem to run better, and you're not dragging that pesky cord all over the place and trying to find an outlet to plug it in.
Although in the strictest sense it still does run on electricity, I've seen one that doesn't need a mains connection, or batteries.
It was at the Lied Museum near here. You sit on a little exercise bike, and pedal.. and if you pedal fast enough to make a blob like me beg for mercy, you'll get to watch some crappy soap on a crappy B&W TV. All powered by your muscles.
