I am SICK of IDIOTS from BOTH sides. People who hear only their own side of the argument and discredit and completely ignore the other side

If representatives of two opposing sides cannot find the middle ground, they can never hope to get close enough to shake hands. =:oD
I've known a few (although I won't name names) people who like to twist what I say, attributing words, meanings, or connotations that I never said or meant.
They also do the same things in reverse - manipulating what they supposedly said, for their own ends: If I directly quote them, they give me some crap about never saying that. Sometimes, they'll take something obviously implied in their comment or tone of voice, and deny that, too.
It makes me so mad... Mad to the point where I just want to smack someone.
It's a good thing that I'm not a physically violent individual*! =:oD

A friend is someone who's an open two-way street.
If they're one-way (i.e., a "user" or "fair-weather friend"), or if they're closed (i.e., keeping secrets, particularly in excess), they're not a friend.
At least, this is my definition.
