Seriously, your invlovement in this sounds like you're too connected with it for your being rolled up in a carpet and tossed off a bridge to not be a message, yet you'd be not connected enough for it to piss off the governor. If it gets weird, don't think twice about bolting or being reassigned. You never know.

Crying is a little too cliche, I think. So it was a toss-up between laughing and streaking. I thought laughing would be the less offensive of the two.

I just remember what was going on when I made the original post: I had just learned that, for my summer job with the City of Chicago Law Department, I was going to be partially responsible for suing the mafia. I thought that might be a cool way for a small town white boy to go.
