twas a 1st generation Kindle. She posted on facebook she was saving for one...so was plotted:) If she really loves it she can always save for the newer version but can enjoy while she does.

awwww, yer a sweetie-- and Kimmie-- you'll love it; I use mine almost every day. Um, just so you know-- Amazon has a TONNE of project Gutenberg on it now, and the kindle versions are all free :D
