Just noticed LJ deleted and purged my smutmas_mod account. :/

Weren't they supposed to warn us before they did that? I got no notice of it whatsoever. I probably wouldn't have ever found out if I hadn't been backreading some of my old journal entries.

I basically just lost control of about 80% of the community.

I wish I had remembered to log into the account when the stuff about purging non-active accounts was first flying around. I remembered to log into every one of my old RP accounts, but not that one. Argh.

I got a bunch of emails when they deleted old accounts of mine. "In 30 days we're going to delete this if you don't post...", and again at 15 and 5. Then a "We're deleting it today", then one final one telling me it was deleted. Maybe it was tied to an old email address? Or it could very well be LJ just sucking. D:

I'm pretty sure I had it associated with my regular fandom account, because I remember all of the comments on the fics and art used to come to that one. Maybe they went to the spam folder and that's how I missed them...? Although I don't know why, of all the comment notifications and other emails I've gotten from LJ, those are the ones that would go to spam.

I wonder if it would be worth opening a help ticket with LJ? Let them know you got no email. I wonder if they could (or would) recover it...
