WHO: Gabriel
WHAT: Late night scene and the two discuss the next level of their relationship and if they are ready to take it.
It's after midnight at Edgewood, and Gabe can't really sleep. So he's sitting in the kitchen, having a midnight snack of the rabbit stew that was made for dinner. He's leanign back in one fo the chairs, enjoying the general quiet atmosphere and marveling at how diferent this place is from the big city he's used to. And how much more he prefers the solitude here now.
The front door is eased open as Sadie comes in. She doesn't know that Gabe is out of the grotto, so she flops upon the couch. Her smell is instantly upon the air though. She actually turns on her side to curl up into fetal position, as if she's about to start sleeping.
And as the door opens and Gabe notices the familiar scent, he smiles. Since Sadie's not bounding into the kitchen, she's probably zoning out on her laptop. Sliging his shoes off under the table, he quietly tiptoes into the main room, trying to sneak up on her.
Sadie is actually curled up like a cute little kitten on the couch. Prime for startling. She hasn't fallen asleep yet, but it looks like she is preparing to do so. The laptop of pink enjoyment, sits on a nearby table.
Gabriel sees her curled up on the couch. He considers for a bit, and a look of sympathy crosses his face. INstead of startling her, he sneaks over to one of the cabinets to pull out a blanket and a pillow for her.
Sadie is only a bit aware of someone prowling around her. Or so it seems. When his back is turned, she opens her eyes briefly to see who it is. Then she shuts them to look natural in her tiredness.
Gabriel walks over and gently lays the blanket over Sadie, making sure she's fully covered. Then comes the tricky part....trying to get the pillow under her head....
Sadie lays limp on the couch. There is a soft murmur of a sigh as she's covered from her 'sleep'. The Walker kin tries to keep her pulse and breathing calm as the Garou moves around her.
Gabriel gently places a hand under her head, slowly working it under so as not to wake her. Then all he has to do is lift and slide the pillow in...
... and then her arms wrap about his neck. Sadie is hoping that his weight is off balance because of his concern. The kin attempts to tumble him down on the couch on top of her.
Gabriel acks as he's caught off guard adn does indeed fall on top of her. He chuckles and baps her in the head with the pillow. "You littl snot...making me feel all sorry for you becasue you're asleep..."
Sadie oofs. "You been eating a lot there, Gabe? I think you just crushed me under your weight. I am a pancake now." She lowers her eyes playfully from him before she cants her head head to the side. After a few moments of wiggling, she's trying to draw him closer for a kiss of greeting.
Gabriel gives her the kiss, letting it linger for a few seconds. "Mmmm....how you donig, hon?"
Sadie chews her lower lip in a guilty fashion at that question. "I"m um.. um.. good." Nice to know he's dating a horrible liar. "So tell me everything about what is going on with you."
Gabriel slides over to the side so he's not crushing her. "Ummm...no. You first. What's going on? YOu're giving me the same look a puppy gives when he's pooped on an expensive rug."
Sadie shakes her head mutely and then snuggles up to his side. "I just have a friend that um... well..." She tries to think it over. "I saw Nik's motel room." She lifts her hands quickly. "Nothing happened! I swear, I"m still all virginal in every sense of the word."
Gabriel sighs a bit. He closes his eyes and controls his breathing. When he opens them again, he gives Sadie a nod. "I trust you."
Sadie watches him for a long moment as he sighs. Then she smiles and attempts to snuggle onto his lap. "That's why I like you. You know me. Nik really is one of those love them and leave them. He likes a lot of girls, like.. Mr.Anti-Commit and you know how I feel about that." She runs her fingers up to attempt to move through his hair. "He did sort ask if I want to move into a two bedroom.. sorta but not really. We are /just/ friends. He knows that I'm interested in a cub, but.. then he asked if I was claimed. Claimed is different from dating right?"
Gabriel growls a bit. It may not be a full moon, but there's still plenty of ways to get a Garou riled up without the moon high and shining. "Yeah. Claimed is different. I means you're committed. I suppose, I don't really need to ask your permission to claim you. But that's just the kind of guy I am. Sentimental. If you want to tell others I claim you, it's your call."
Sadie shakes her head a bit. "I think Cole would get upset if a cub was claiming me. You aren't supposed to yet, you know?" She pulls back only slightly when he growls to look at him. Her blue eyes shimmering lightly. "Are you mad at me? You growled."
Gabriel shakes his head. "Not at you, no. At the situation. And at the fact that I can't really claim you yet. So you've got to deal with these guys on your own."
"Nik doesn't want me or anything. He's kinda like a.. um.. brother I flirt with." Sadie offers as she leans in to rub her cheek against his. "I mean I kiss him like this.." She puts her lips chastely to Gabe's cheek. "Not like I kiss you, like this..." Sadie attempts to mold her entire body against the Garou's and then kiss him hard and passionate.
Gabriel chuckles and presses his lips against Sadie's. "Mmm...well at least you know how to appologize for daring to be so cute, guys throw themselves at you."
Sadie nods to that. "Avery doesn't throw himself at me though." SHe snuggles even closer. "Sure you don't want to break that no sex rule?" She already knows the answer as she snuggles up against his chest.
Gabriel chuckles. "Positive. And don't wory about Avery. I talked to him. I don't think he'll bother you about that kind of stuff again."
Sadie lifts her brows to this and then grins vibrantly. "What did you do?"
Gabriel shrugs. "I just told him I know what I'm doing and I don't need to be protected. That's it."
Sadie laughs a full rich sound to that. "You mean he thought you needed to be protected from /me/? He realizes, you are the Garou, right?"
Gabriel shrugs. "I think he felt that as my friend, he needed to make sure my honor was being upheld when I couldn't do anything about it. Kinda nice, really. But he did misinterpret things."
Sadie lifts her brows. "Your honor? I wasn't doing anything really wrong. I'm not mouth kissing anyone or other stuff, you know." She tips her head towards the boy and then she shakes her head. "Well.. I guess if he wants to believe those things about me."
The cub wraps an arm around Sadie to comfort her. "I know. But you have to realize that Garou see things in diferent ways. To some, you kissing a male on the cheek, especially if it's another Garou, could be a sign that you're interested in him."
"Well, isn't it okay if the Garou knows that I won't act on it? I mean we are friends, that's it." Sadie gives a bright smile. "Does that mean you don't want me to move out of Fallon's and in with him?"
Gabriel coughs. "I definately don't want you to move out of Fallon's and in with him. Sadie, in case you haven't been paying attnetion, Garou are creatures of passion. Any show of affection, no matter how small, can be seen as having interest in someone."
Sadie thinks this over for a few long moments. "Soooo... um.. well don't you hug other people and stuff like that?" She curls into his lap as if she's made just to fit there for him. His own Gabe sized kin.
Gabriel pulls Sadie in tight against him. "Well, there's hugging. Then there's kissing. I might get a few raised eyebrows if I hugged another female. I'd probably get some stern looks if I kissed one on the cheeck. Think of some Garou as the ultimate conservatives. We have traditions and rituals that date back thousands of years. So, kind of like old-school religions, some might see a peck on the cheeck as one step away from exposing your body. And Avery is a self-avowed traditionalist."
Sadie wrinkles up her nose to the comment, but she tosses her arms around him. "You know I l... like you, right?" She leans in to nuzzle his nose with hers. "So if you could do anything right now, what would you do?"
Gabriel smiles and presses his forehead against hers. "Sleep with you. Along with quite a bit of sex, I'd imagine."
"Well you can /sleep/ with me." Sadie offers as she smiles a bit to him. "Gabe, are you um.. scared to you know.. do it?"
Gabriel smirks. "No, not scared. I told you, I'm concerned about the consequences. That's it. It has nothign to do with how I feel about you. And yeah, I think we might be safe enough to sleep together in my room."
Sadie smiles to that. "I know you are worried about consequences." SHe looks towards her laptop bag. "I even um.. have you know... stuff.. in there. Since I don't know when you would um..." She turns tomato red.
Gabriel snickers and hugs Sadie close. "Just give it time, hon. Don't rush into this. I'm as eager as you, but I can still wait until the time is right."
Sadie looks up nervously. "I'm kind of scared too. I mean I hear it hurts the first time and there is blood." She shoots him a 'look'. "I'm um.. I'm embarressed to um.. think I might you know.. bleed on um...you know.. you." Her eyes travel down to his lap and then back up to his eyes. "As well, are you going to fury at the idea of blood or anything?"
Gabriel laughs. "I'm not a vampire, you know. But yeah, I heard it hurts for the girl at first. So I promise to be as gentle as I can, okay? DOn't worry about the blood, though. WE can shower together afterwards to clean up, right?"
Sadie looks a bit more shy when he laughs at her. "What if.. what if we are really really bad at it? Or what if I'm bad at it and you just don't ever want to do it again and.." She's being open about her fears at least. Which makes it a bit more real. "I don't even know where we.. I mean should we get a room for your celebration? Should we do it here?"
Gabriel tries to comfort Sadie by stroking her hair. "Hey....just relax. We're probably going to crash at Jason's pad, remember? And it's probably going to be clumsy the first time around. Just give it time and I promise you that if you don't want to do it again, I won't make you do it again. And I won't leave you, either."
Sadie blushes a bit. "What if I do want to do it again? I mean.. we can still hang out without having sex afterwards too right?" She reaches out to touch his face softly with her fingertips. "I'm not going to know what to do. I don't want to study too much. I want it to be natural, when ever it does happen."
Gabriel nods. "And so do I. And of course we can hang out without having sex. We're doing that right now, aren't we?"
Sadie nods, "But.. we can still do it after we have sex too right? I mean... you love me right, Gabe?"
Gabriel smiles and nods, stroking her hair. "Yes, I do love you, Sadie. And we can hang out afterwards. I'm not just going to fall asleep on you after we do it."
Sadie laughs softly. "That's not what I mean. I mean.. some people when they.. you know.. the first time. That is all they do. They don't just hang out any more and I don't want that to be us."
Gabriel shakes his head. "Of course not. I'm not going to turn this into a one night stand. WE'll still hang out and be together, no matter what."
Sadie looks nervous. "You won't.. I mean you aren't.." Sadie takes a breath and holds him tighter to her. "You aren't just saying all these things so I'll say yes are you?"
Gabriel shakes his head. "No, I'm not. I swear by Gaia that i love you and I'm not going to leave you until Gaia calls me back to her."
Sadie smiles. "You don't have to promise me forever, just now, Gabe." She offers softly. "How does one /claim/ a kin? Is it a ceremony? A howl or just a declaration?"
Gabriel smiles and shrugs. "I'm not sure. That's one of the things I'll find out, though."
Sadie lowers her brows. "Could someone really claim me without my permission?"
Gabriel thinks for a bit. "I don't know. Possibly, if kin really aren't more than property. You'd better ask your tribe about that, just to be on the safe side."
"What if my tribe doesn't want me with you? Will you just give me up then?" Sadie's starting to get into the whole relationship, what ifs.
Gabriel shakes his head. "No. I'll never give you up. I'll fight for you. Even if I have to go to the Umbra to speak to Cockroach, I swear I'll never give up."
Sadie leans in to rub noses with him again. "I don't want you to fight if it means your death. I just.. I don't need any grandiose shows of affection. I just like to know you might fight a little bit." She moves in to attempt to kiss him long and deep on the lips. She will try to hold it and intensify it as much as the Groo cub allows.
Gabriel keeps the kiss going for a long time, almost a minute. "I will fight for you. With all my heart and soul. But I don't think it will come to that."
