WHO: Gabriel
WHAT: A picnic and a badly asked question
The yellow convertible pulls up to Edgewood and is no longer leaking oil it seems. The girl bounds out of the car in a short pair of cut off denim shorts that make Daisy Dukes look long. Her hair is pulled back by a head band with rainbow colors upon it and a white diamond shaped shirt covers her torso. It leaves the sides of her abdomen exposed as well as her tanned back, which is oddly without tan lines. A basket hangs from her arm as she looks around the area. Sadie seems in very good spirits.
Gabriel is sitting out on the porch, just relaxing and listneing to the breeze. He smiles as he sees Sadie pull up. "Hey, you. How's it going?"
Sadie looks towards the narrow path and then the boy. Her lips instantly curve upwards and her eyes sparkle. She may not be forthcoming with that L word, but she lights up when she sees the guy. "I was thinking you might want to go do a picnic lunch or something."
Gabriel smiles. "I enjoy time with you. The free food is just a bonus." He chuckles and stands up to give his girl a hug. "How's your day going?"
Sadie wraps her arms around him. There is a small string across the middle of her back that holds the shirt on and one behind her neck. "I'm doing great, trying to make summer last as long as possible before I have to go back to school." She leans up on her toes to press an affectionate kiss to his lips.
Gabriel returns the kiss, pressing her close. "So, what did you bring me for lunch?"
Sadie keeps her body close to his as she offers. "It's Southern Day." Sadie sometimes gets urges to do theme meals. "This one is fried chicken, collard greens, buttermilk biscuits, macaroni and cheese, and um... peach cobbler."
Gabriel smiles widely. "Well okay, then. Eat here or over by the pond?"
Sadie smiles, "I was hoping maybe we could take a walk in the woods. I haven't explored it but you are with me, so I should be safe, right?"
Gabriel thinks for a bit. "Not too far in. The Forest is part of the Bawn. The territory of the Caern. SO i don't know how other Garou might take you going onto the Bawn."
Sadie ohs softly to that and then smiles, "Just a bit though?" She beams up at him as she moves to follow where he leads her from the area they find themselves currently.
Gabriel nods. "Yes. But not to where we reach the Bawn. Okay?"
Sadie nods her head to that and smiles warmly. "Of course not. I don't want to get either one of us in trouble."
Gabriel nods and starts to head off towards the pond and the woods. "I think there's a nice spot where we can just kick back and eat in peace."
Sadie follows behind him with a happy skip to her walk. "You don't mind that I like to cook do you? I mean, will you still love me when I'm fat and round and can't walk without getting winded?"
Gabriel laughs and slows down to walk alongside her with an arm wrapped around her shoulders. "Yes, I will love you when you're all big from carrying a litter of 5 or 6 cubs."
Sadie elbows him playfully in the side. "I mean when all the food I eat finally catches up with me. You know like, I'm huge because I eat a breakfast of a dozen eggs, a chocolate cake, a gallon of milk and follow it with a steak."
Gabriel makes a face at that suggestion. "Ewww....no. Pregancy is one thing..." He snickers and nudges Sadie payfully.
Sadie pouts. "So you won't love me if I'm just fat because I gained weight?" She sighs softly and then lowers her eyes away. "That's just a bit sad."
Gabriel kisses Sadie playfully. "But very much a teenage boy thing."
Sadie studies him thoughtfully as she turns that over in her mind and then she kisses him in return. "What would make you stop loving me?"
Gabriel hugs Sadie tight. "Nothing. The world could end and I woudn't stop loving you."
Sadie stops walking to stare at him. The look is disbelief even for her optimism. "So no matter what happens in life, you will always and forever love me?" She chuckles to that. "Even if I only had one arm? Or was in a wheelchair? What if I slept with someone else? Or someone challenged you for me? Or what if I killed someone? Would you still love me if I killed someone?"
Gabriel smiles. "Yes. I wi always love you and stand by you. No matter what."
Sadie low whistles to that. "That's a lot of loving." She then kisses his cheek as they find a place for the picnic.
Gabriel nods and kisses Sadie again. "Yup. HOw about you? You gonna love me no matter what?"
Sadie looks up at him with a nervous expression. "WHen I love someone, it is with everything in me and for all times."
Gabriel smiles a bit. "I guess that's about as good an answer as I can hope for."
Sadie frowns slightly. "I'm just not ready to say it yet Gabe. I have to know beyond all doubt. The words are not said easily by me anymore." She moves closer to try and wrap her arms around him. "I like you the best of everyone though, does that count?"
Gabriel gives Sadie a reassuring kiss. "It's okay. WHen you're ready, you'll say it. You know how I feel about you. And I know how you feel about me."
"Does it bother you that I don't say it?" Sadie kisses him a bit more deeply before she moves to spread out the blanket.
Gabriel helps her with the blanket. "I know how you feel. That's al that matters. Actions are more important than words, right?"
Sadie nods her head. "I suppose they are but I know sometimes it is nice to hear the words. Like I like hearing you tell me you think I'm pretty or that you really like an outfit. Of course, I like when you randomly stroke my hair too."
Gabriel smiles and strokes her hair for a bit. "It's diferent for guys. We don't need to hear the words so often. You girs need constant reassurance. 'Do these jeans make my ass look big?' 'Do you think I'm prettier than that gir over there?' Stuff like that."
Sadie looks at her outfit or the lack of it. "/Do/ these shorts make my butt look big?"
Gabriel nods. "Of course. But I like big butts and I cannot lie."
Sadie gasps to that and sets the food down. Then the kin turns to attempt to tackle the Garou playfully. "I do not have a big butt, you.. you... not telling the truth person."
Gabriel chuckles as he falls back when tackles. "Help! Your huge butt is pinning me down!"
Sadie gasps more and then smirks a bit. Her legs straddle his hips as she peers down at him. "I.. am.. the victor. Queen of the mountain, unstoppable... something."
Gabriel laughs. "Big bootied head cheerleader."
