I can keep rhythm with no metronome

Dec 20, 2009 10:38

Back from the military, for a short while. I'm on leave for a couple of weeks.

Once my training eases up a bit, I am going to be updating more often.

We'll see if that holds, but I've been taught discipline, hooah?

Since I've been on a bus for three days and I'm only a little old Private, I'm tired as all get out. More later.

Hooah?

How are things there working out for you? Care to elaborate at all?

HELLO! I totally stared at your LJ page with a half-written reply for about ten minutes, debating. Specifically, I was debating posting the praise I had for you being so on track and thoughtful in your life, something that I admire greatly in you, but I kind of thought I was being stuck up and silly.

Yes, I shall indeed elaborate, tomorrow. I have Christmas shopping and I'm still catching up on sleep from my long ass busride from Georgia to New Mexico.

The only thing I shall post right now is that an FOB, the Forward Operating Base, is where everybody is at when in the "field". Combat Arms jobs leave the FOB, while the noncombat guys and girls don't.

People who never leave the FOB are called Fobbits, which I find hilarious each and every time I encounter the term.

More in about 24 hours.

(how are you?)

Eh, same old, same old.

Hating Illinois winter, and trying to figure out what I'm doing for grad school.

My life isn't terribly exciting, which is why I ask about yours.

Fobbits is indeed a brilliant term, though.
