People make fun of me for always quoting the KJV and are confused by some of my Torah observances, but the Puritans were really strict. Pagan inspired observances like Christmas and Easter were highly illegal, only the feasts prescribed to Moses were allowed. Check out the website for Puritan Paperbacks. They have an extensive catalogue of Puritan writers and sermons. I own several great books, at a reasonable price. Thomas Watson's 'The Doctrine of Repentance' was a great lesson for me after I was born-again.
