Looking for art finders and art remixes.

A conversation with ratcreature leads me to ask: is there an artfinders community? Most fandoms seem to have at least one fic finding community. And how I love them and squeeze them and hold them to my bosom, bless their summary-mangling little hearts! Very occasionally I see an art search at a ficfinders, and I've just now discovered that vidfinders exists, but is

Well, that answers a question - I was wondering if there was such a thing as art remixes, after you pimped me the link for the HP Remix-athon a little while ago...

I have not come across any artfinders, though, boo. If I see any (ditto remixes), I shall pimp 'em your way. :)

Yeah, I think we wondered out loud together about it a little? I thought I remembered an art remix fest, but I was thinking it was three or four years ago; but no, just two. I'm enjoying looking at all the art, but many of the links are broken. Alas.

Yes, you are right, we did! Mostly about how it would work, if I remember rightly? I confess I'm a little disappointed in the strict same-pose regulations seen at the comm above... but the different perspective part would have been a nice challenge, I think.
Broken links = alas, agreed. Especially when it's the original picture.

Those regulations struck me as disappointingly strict, too, from a creative standpoint. Because there are all kinds of ways to reinterpret a piece, I would think. But from a modding standpoint, I can see how those rules may have been necessary, to keep things in hand. I do not in any way envy -athon mods; that's something I would be horrible at.
