I have been avoiding this for almost a month cos i couldnt work out what the deal was with 2007 for me, as it was quite the itsy bitsy year. But i cant avoid it any longer as i am unemployed and i do always like to look back at these things long into the future and go 'huh, yeah i remember that. weird.'

here goes

1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?

umm....went to some new places....ooh! had a proper one night stand....dated someone ridiculously young...not much else SUPERnew...ooh! I also went skiing for the first time and LOVED IT

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I'm a slackarse and never make any. But i did get more passport stamps. That's always a good one.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

nooooo

4. Did anyone close to you die?

My dear Granny Annie, and my kitty Pepsi. Not a good year for the deaths.

Canada (Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver, Whistler), USA (Buffalo and NYC), Eire (Galway and Inishmore) Czech Republic (Prague), Hungary (Budapest), Austria (Vienna and Salzburg), Germany (Munich), Italy (Venice and Florence), Spain (Barcelona). And of course the UK.

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?

a home.

7. What dates from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

The day my Granny died. The day my kitty died. Both times woken up by the quiet voice on the phone of someone not quite sure how to say the words. Also Granny's funeral. ANd on a nicer note I would say my sweet lovely day in Vienna with that boy, where it was all new and exciting.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Making more of a plan about life. kinda. being a better vet. and maybe a better person? Paying off all debt.

Saving less money than I had planned. Maybe doing less travel than i would have liked. Not seeing Granny as much as I should.

HECK YES. Bronchitis for 3 weeks in March closely followed by the evils of chicken pox in April. With intermittent colds and viruses all through the year.

Travel tickets. My hot red boots (well, dad bought me those but still...). My ticket home.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

Tom and Matt. My amazing London friends who looked after me for a whole week when i had chicken pox even though i had only met them 3 weeks before. And have subsequently given me a home, comforted me post-dumping, entertained me, cooked for me, made me tea, and generally been superhumanly wonderful to me. I love them. Also ALLLL the other amazing people who have again made my life worthwhile by giving me places to stay. The world is genuinely a good place, i swear.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
