Would you guys please post your top five (or ten) movies? They can be a mixture of comedy, horror, drama, etc. I need something interesting and nonlame to watch. Thanks!
1 Man bites dog (black comedy) 2 Waking Life (thought provoking art film) 3 Man on the moon (inspirational, comedy) 4 Riding the rails (documentary) 5 Dark Days (documentary)
6 Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky, or Kiki's delivery service (kid friendly animation; I recommend all of them. Highly.) 7 Dead Man (Western? Yeah, I guess so.) 8 Kate Rusby Live (Music DVD) 9 My Dinner with Andre (thought provoking drama) 10 Brooklyn Babylon (drama)
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Maybe there's something in there that you haven't seen. Either which way, I had fun making the list. ;)
Thanks for all the great suggestions. I love documentaries! Sometimes it's hard to tell which ones are worth the watch, you know? The only film I've seen from your list is Man on the Moon. Good flick. :) I have many films to watch this summer. Thanks again.
(It's encouraging to me that you think "Man on the Moon" is a good flick. I think it's inspirational and I like that in a movie. Seems like everyone I've ever talked to about that movie didn't really "get it" like I feel I did. .)
Andy Kaufman is a strange and unique person. Well, he was anyway, while he was alive. And it's one movie with Courtney Love where she's not annoying and 100% skanky. I also liked Jim Carrey's portrayal of Kaufman. It's a film I haven't seen in some time, so I need to watch it again. And I almost forgot to mention, I love R.E.M and especially their song "Man on the Moon". :)
