Wow! I just found out that I could be fired from my teaching job for joining the Communist party and knowingly being a member of it

I'm surprised too. My first reaction was that it must go against something from the Bill of Rights, but now that I think about it I'm not so sure. Maybe it would fall under freedom of expression?

I'd be very interested to find out if such laws have ever been taken to the federal courts.
