So the trip to Lake Charles seemed to have gone well.  En route to the casino we encountered some severe weather and we were forced to pull over.  Of course, while we were in the middle of the storm, the directors called me on my cell to let me know that there would be a letter with the exact agenda waiting for me in my room and inviting me to eat ( Read more... )

Was the place you were at using Micros? Our system wouldn't let us run credit cards or house charge for a while on Friday. Just curious because work was unpleasant due to this problem.

Yes, they were using Micros. I figured it had something to do with the bad weather but now I'm wondering if the problem was associated with Micros itself. This was about 4am Friday and apparently the problem corrected itself before lunch time.

It was definitely Micros itself. We were intermittently running credit cards and have a lock up on the system for minutes. It started around 6 pm for us and I know I had to apologize for that system's problems at least ten times. Not to mention the guy at customer service seemed very put out that we called to address this problem.

I wouldn't wait til the end of the week if I were you. Give them until about Wednesday- he said Saturday, which seems optimistic, but let them know that they are a priority for you, and you ought to be a priority to them.

Good luck! It sounds like it was a good interview...

That is what Tim said also. I was thinking Friday, to give them a whole week but maybe Wednesday is a better idea. Its not like they have to answer me immediately and, like you said, this will show them that I am eager but not pushy! Even though I wanted to call them Saturday evening and demand an answer! I hate waiting around for things.
