...well, actually I had quite a LOT to say, but I'm at a loss for words to describe this kind of thinking.

About a week and a half back, I did my regular bleed of the radiators. I have to do this every month or two as the system seems to have a leak in it; I didn't think this especially remarkable as I've had similar issues in just about every ( Read more... )

Clearly because you live in council housing, there *must* be something wrong with you. And that *clearly* disqualifies you from performing the most basic of tasks.

Bloody people, it pisses me off.

You know, you should maybe mention to them that you have a VERY young daughter and you could be considered an At Risk person!!! I got much better service from Scottish Gas when I told them I had a medical disease.

Ha. This is the council.. I'm already less at risk than half the scheme; at least I am an ADULT with a young child, rather than a child with a whole brood of children and no husband or partner.

I totally agree with your closing statement, though.

I have since spoken to someone marginally more sensible. They are still sending someone to assess, but apparently that's a condition of their contract with the council.

I also pointed out to them that the fact the council supply a radiator key with the front door keys when you move in, which sort of implies that the council expect you to bleed the radiators. The lady agreed. I think I might have got The Wrong Person last time.
