Writer's Block: There Once Was a Girl from Nantucket

May 15, 2009 09:42

Late, but I was lacking in inspiration the other day.

A daughter was very particular
About sharing the bed perpendicular
She always would keep
On our faces, her feet
Causing us to shout in the vernacular!

limericks, writer's block

I'm better with Haiku or other poetic forms, but this one wrote itself after a particularly interrupted night's sleep..

There was a young man
from Peru, whose lim'ricks all
looked like haiku. He

said with a laugh "I
chop them in half - the pay is
much better for two!"
