you get an emphatic "I HEAR YA!" from this side of the planet.

I worked my ass off at a prestigious 4-year college...UC Berkeley, I mean come on! At the age of 24 (almost 25 *wince*), I have aspired to nothing more than middle management...and without the glory of the title on my business card...because management would denote a higher salary paid and *gasp* managerial training. My close friends who are also college graduates share my sentiment....so we went to college to become someone's assistant?

Granted, nothing is just handed to you because you went to college...but the myth of employers pounding at your door was horribly perpetuated by college students themselves...a comforting bedtime story we told ourselves so we could sleep better in the dorms...how else would you justify spending $500 plus in readers and books?

I have applied to scores of jobs that fit the direction I wanted my BA to go in...but they've been fruitless. I am too young, too inexperienced...too everything.

hold me,
silver
