So, it's that time of year, when the students return (like swallows to Capistrano) to Boston. And thus it is time for yet another "gnomi explains it all" post. Not that any of the people this post is directed toward will actually see it, but it'll make me feel better

Stay to the left if you wish to walk up the stairs. This is established local tradition...

Since I commute on the T, I'd say most commuters have no idea about this rule. It's not an established local tradition, it's a good idea with no official backing or general acceptance.

Maybe it depends on the station? It's pretty solidly followed at Porter except for a few oblivious people.

Also I hate when people riding bikes in traffic are not wearing helmets. Argh.
