I'm so sorry to hear about your son's injury. How far away does he live? As you say, thank goodness he had his helmet on! Bones will heal eventually, but brains don't always. May his healing be quick and complete.

He's close to a thousand miles away. He lives in LA and I live in Oregon.

Oh my goodness! That would throw any Mom for a loop. Glad to see he is mending well.

Me too! His doc says he's mending especially quickly and may be able to get back to work sooner than anticipated. That will be good on many fronts, as long as he is careful to not re-injure it. And no lifting.
And he visited his sister in Portland for a week. That was good. And I went up for a day. Very good.
