I see how it is! You don't know what you're missing. Well, maybe you do~*teehee* But NEVER, I said NEVER, have frozen B.S. It will put you off them for a long time even if, like me, you are having a BS love affair.
Tell me, how do you weigh in on Beets? Watermelon?
My dad LOVED brussels sprouts, so I grew up eating (and hating) them. They eat them here in Sweden quite often, too, but I never buy or serve them, even though my husband likes them. :)
I like beets okay, though they're not my first choice, and I like watermelon okay as well, but again, not my first choice. Though, I LOVE watermelon FLAVOR. But I really prefer cantelope over it. :)
First of all, they mustn't be overcooked. Ew is right about overcooked brussel sprouts. And underdone ones too. Many people dislike them just because of how they were served.
OK, you are coming close to being bumped from my friends list. Didn't you fill out the food questionnaire when you signed on? (just joking) I GUESS loving watermelon flavor counts anyway. Your kids are martians too. Not liking raisins. shhesh. But that's more for you.
I meant to thank you you for your lovely thank you card, it was a nice surprise, but of course I put it in the card tree and forgot! I'm glad you liked the secret santa gift :-)
By the way, brussel sprouts are my favourite veg :-)
You are welcome! And I have had so much fun with that book. I have only made one thing out of it so far, and it turned out great. But I have my next two recipes earmarked and a pretty good list going of others that I want to try, so you see, the book has already given me hours of joyful activity.
In the season when brussle sprouts are not available, I often find myself counting the months until they are. I don't know why we haven't grown them. They look really silly, whimsical, and magic the way they grow too,on a stalk and they look like a little tree. Have you seen them that way?
I'll have to research and see about maybe putting them in next year's winter garden.
