I'm still not entirely sure what to make of it all. Bottom line though I think is Joss Whedon's MO: You want X to happen to my characters, but really that's just not good for them. So we're going to skip Y and here's Z, what really needs to happen.

Also the "new" Dr. Horrible vaguely looks like Trigun and it made me smile. The end.
