One two and a half year old ginger moggy called Jake. Needs a new home with loving owners. As much as I will hate letting him go Zachariah comes first and the advice given today is to get rid of the cat (or give him an extended holiday as the doctor tactfully said ( Read more... )

that's a bit harsh....
still, you're removing a lot of potential triggers at once, so might not be jake.
My dad was dead set against getting another cat when we lost sophie. He then agreed to foster a cat belonging to a friend of Claire's. Chelsea's been there two years now and Dad wouldn't dream of letting her leave.
so you never know.

bibs would be great thanks. Steve and Maralyn are taking the cat for a couple of months although none of us really believe that cat fur is the problem but we still have to eliminate it.

Had to wet wrap Zach last night which was so hard. Had to put a layer of wet tube bandage stuff in the shape of a vest and tights on him, and then another dry layer of the stuff. Gary had to take him to try and settle him down as I was too upset. Have decided not to do it again this morning and only do it at night otherwise we would have to repeat the process about five times every day which is so unfair on him.

(Big Hug) Eczema in babies is rough, but don't beat yourself up, I appreciate it is a difficult time. I also promise to keep an eye on Jake for you, I'm not paranoid, but Maralyn is strange at times as you well know.
