Is it officially not OK for us to love young adult fiction? One of my favourite writers is Anthony Eaton, an Aussie YA writer. His books are better than a lot of the adult shit I read at uni! And therein lies the problem (and the shame!). The Hunger Games novels are poorly written and I guess the ultimate question is whether the plot/concept of the novels is enough to compensate for the terrible execution. That and the gazillion teenagers who pollute the Internet with their opinions (I sound like a grumpy ol' woman, haha) and the constant and unjustified Twilight comparisons. I feel like I should go into hiding for mildly enjoying it.

Yeap, I think I just have to come to terms that obsessive streak is a personality trait. ;)
