Because your struggle with screen resolution is one of the milder struggles I've heard. Because the word "struggle" ALWAYS comes into the conversation when talking about linux and it's never in the context of "without a...".

I don't disagree with you, at all. It has been a struggle, but the reason my screen resolution has been as struggle is because for whatever reason, my video card (nVidia Geforce Go 6150) doesn't get detected properly. When I threw Ubuntu in my desktop machine, I had no problems with the video card.
But yeah, I hear ya.
I guess part of wanting to do this has massochistic reasons. Another reason, is that I guess I want to keep my options open for the future; i.e., Vista.
*shrug*
If anything, screwing around with *buntu has given me different perspectives on the Pros and Cons of Windows.
