WIPEOUT!!

Okay so here is a quickie post.  About 3 months ago, after being hounded my coworkers with comments like "YOU'D BE PERFECT!" and "I know you can do it!"... I applied to be a contestant on the ABC game show "WIPEOUT!"  Since they advertised heavily during LOST ... I'll assume most of my flist knows what "WIPEOUT!" is. Briefly...its an obstacle

I think we have a version called 'Total Wipeout' over here - is the obstacle course over water? And there are three huge balls that in theory you're supposed to jump across, but everyone bounces off them?

This is exactly the same show. I have a plan for getting across the Big Balls. I think if you just keep running as light as you can across the tops of the balls, you might make it across. I've seen a few people do it. Most of them are super tiny people (not really me) or really long legged, like Peter Crouch or something. I'm now to the official "You must sign this 27 page long legal contract" part of the process. I sent it off on Thursday and they called me Friday to tell me I missed one page I had to initial. SIGH. So back into the car, back to UPS to over night the contract yet again. They said - the casting associates - say I'm still in the running. So who knows? It could still happen.

Sounds pretty cool! Wish I would be able to see this show over here, if you get in. The only show that we have here that sounds similar to this is "Takeshi's castle" and I don't even know if that is still on air.
Anyhow, I'll keep everything crossable crossed for you ;)
