This video makes me want to be a hoodlum in a way that A Clockwork Orange never did.

It's a perennial problem, the drives of young men whose brains are stewing in levels of testosterone they are unlikely to ever experience again. That, and people of any age tend to use whatever means at their avail to acquire something to lose. We should send them off to a war or something.

I'm just glad that they showed their faces so that the women they assaulted can cut their nuts off while they sleep.

It won't take a war to kill those kids. It will just take one justifiably angry person who isn't going to take their stupid shit.

FWIW, this film is staged.

I think it's worth looking at why you expect them to act differently. Why is it that roving mobs of violent young men virtually always come from poor, disenfranchised, minority communities instead of affluent white ones? Or conversely, why aren't affluent white people more inclined to form gangs that engage in random, often purposeless violence?

When you have so little to lose and by all accounts will never have anything to lose, why play fair?

It's not actually true. There are plenty of cases of violent young white men. The media tells us all the time that it's black kids that do all of that crazy stuff.

I expect everyone to behave differently and saying 'it's the testosterone' does a grave disservice to all of the young men who do behave differently.

The production values were very slick. It just seems like one could have created a better narrative.

I've personally met plenty of violent white men, and, like violent non-white men, they nearly always come from poor, disenfranchised communities. You just don't see a whole lot of roving bands of wealthy folks beating up people in the street, at least not once you leave the halls of high school. It's a primitive and relatively ineffectual grasping at power that comes with risks that those who already have it do not need to incur.
