I love the smell of fire alarm in the morning...

Well, I had a fun day already. I went to sleep around 1:30 AM, a bit early for me, yes...but I felt like getting some extra rest. Then I get a phone call at 4:38 AM, so much for getting extra rest -.-. My immediate reaction is, who on earth calls at 4:30 in the freaking morning? It was obviously either someone outside the state who didn't know

And I thought my morning of my mother rousing me at six to take pain meds and go "Look! Your op-ed is in the paper!" and me groaning and falling off the bed was unusual.....but why did the fire alarm go off??

I'm not sure why the alarm went off, first time that has ever happened. But seeing as the alarm kept blinking, even after I disarmed the system as reset the fire alarms, my guess is that a wire between the control box and the alarm itself got cut. Probably mice, or something similar, chewing on the wires...wouldn't be the first time, just the first time with fire alarm.
