I think that was the same bedroom I had, and that she was the one responsible for saving me from the horror/charm of whatever civil war-era wallpaper was in that room, by the time I moved in.
DC gave us fair warning that it was getting demolished, and Kord and I (and others, I'm sure) intended to break in and look around before the bulldozers came. But I stayed away too long and lost my chance.
I remember battle scene wallpaper in the downstairs bathroom.
I stripped to the waist and had a current city council member paint a pirate ship on my nekkid chest, in that very house. Had some extremely good chocolate covered strawberries there too.
I recall the building next door lusting after a parking lot for years, I presume they finally got it?
