A Rare Post of Great Levity

Hey! Given that I post so horribly un-often, I figured this should be super serious and informative. But that's not going to happen at the moment. Stay tuned I'll probably post actual useful information as a reply to this entry.

In our group the sitting still part is hard to find. :P But thanks, and I'm glad you appreciated the wheee. I actually made another "boots are musical icon," this one was the wild spinning that I did on the floor and minutes later in a chair, with no noticable difference. Gravity is silly. :P

major congratulations! That's awesome! Was this your main choice? And, if so, what drew you there?
And what's your prior/current educational background, if you don't mind my asking? Just curious.

Thanks! Its cool, I was a Behavioral Science major/religion minor, and started a social work degree after a year of Americorps work in hopes of combining ministry and counseling somehow. But a bumpy semester at NYU showed me I'm more academically minded then theraputic, so I'm looking to switch programs and eventually teach and write about theology and religion at the college level.

One of my Drew professors, in Asian religions turned me onto it; she knows alot of people there and has heard wonderful things about it. Its strong commitment to interreligious dialogue/pluralism and current issues in theology/philsosphy of religion really drew me there. Also some intersting developments in "comparative theology," a new movement forming on issues of dialogue. I also got into Union in NYC, which has a VERY strong social justice background and just hired someone very respected in some of these areas. So I have some thinking and praying to do.

Thank you Richard... your prayers are very appreciated. :) As clear as any way can become, I'm getting used to the fact that some mist seems to be part of the journey. But maybe that's ok.
