Temperament theory

Temperament theory is basically dividing people into different types of personalities. One I came across in New Scientist recently is by Helen Fisher, which divides people into Explorers, Builders, Directors and Negotiators. Heh... Christian Temperament theory is something that I was introduced to as a teenager, and is very similar to this.

It has four categories, of which you will have a blend of 2, with one dominant, and one secondary. The categories were Melancholy, Sanguine, Choleric, and Phlegmatic. (Thats right, named after the four humours).

At the end of Personality Plus it has profiles of famous characters from the bible, with what temperament type they were most likely to have.
