I think it is the paper's policy to keep it territorian. I think their headlines have the same policy that it has to have some relation to the Territory. But for September 11 they had a big debate in the tea rooms, and realised there just wasn't any way to make that a local event.

Really? I was wondering about Sep 11! So you heard that in the paper, or was this a friend-of-a-friend who said this happened? There seems to be 2 headlines sometimes, one for Alice, one for Darwin. The croc stalks nudist beach, and alice nation's dog bite capital are from the same day.

Todays was that a bomb was found in "A territory mall" or something like that. and it was Alice springs. Carefully chosen headline to sound like it was Darwin ie more dramatic than AS?

Naw I don't know where that info came from re the NT news headlines, but Eddy used to say it as if he had some kind of idea, not just him concluding it from observation. But I believed him from observation! So maybe I am starting an urban myth, maybe he really did have some info.

I will ask him next time I email him re selling unit or whatever.

oh yeah! I have organised to go to Haizels tomorrow afternoon. She wants to get some fleece too for a baby blanket for her new grandkid.

Wanna come too? You are invited. I said around 1pm. I reserve the right to cancel and go to the dr instead as I am pretty ill still. Leave me a message or email as to whether you will come or not and I will check in the morning. I am going to bed now.

:-)
