Linking Diana to Brown this way is clever as hell, and this line: "the blood, the pitiful cries, the pulpy thump of hammer against meat, the grotesque smile that raped her mouth as cruelly as the words Hoffman forced her to recite. The fact that if she stopped envisioning herself in that sack, she would be unable to finish the execution." is gorgeous, as well as the thought of a regretful Diana, haunted by her own cruelty.

And I can't take credit for the whole storyline, you had it mostly arranged before my suggestion, so give yourself a pat on the back.

I liked it a lot; a glimpse at a Diana with regret always gets me, and I like there this is going. And it makes me hate Hoffman more and more (Though I love Diana and I'd tap that in about 58737938 seconds which really makes me no better than him, but I disgress..) as I read it.
