we put too much pressure on the mere concept that life is supposed to mean something

and maybe thats why people dont like feeling indifferent.

This is very true, but the main downfall of this is that it's directed inward. Making life mean something to us. Not enjoying the feeling of indifference toward ourselves or our lives. All too often, people treat life as if it is nothing, and act indifferent. I'm talking bout racism, sexism, prejudice treatment...both committing the acts, and turning a blind eye to it. The Holocaust is a huge example of indifference, where people ignored what was happening. There are still people who refuse to admit it happened. As you said, we're not all insane so we don't go killing someone or everyone. But sometimes I wonder if letting it happen isn't just as bad.

Someone once said: "The opposite of love isn't hate; it's indifference."

those conversations were whaccccckkk

i think everything does happen for a reason ...

but

really we just die in the end so maybe everything just happens b/c it just does and has no reason at all but they all seem to have some meaning or maybe just lead to something huge happening so we all think it happend for a reason. we all just want to believe in something, whether it be a religion or spirituality or just believing in fate/destiny/"everything happens for a reason". we just need something to get us by but our fate is already determined- we will eventually die so what is it all worth? we'll never know!

this is toooo hard to write down.its giving me a headache just thinkin about it.

i give you mad props though for getting all your thoughts down on this here livejournal.

im sure we'll discuss this tomorrow or something since it seems to be happening at a rapid pace these days

much love
