It's a simple scroll, ancient and a bit dusty, that shows up in Byakuya's office. It's nothing fancy and the years of storage and disuse show. Even the title is nothing much, just a dry dissertation on the breeding and keeping of hell butterflies.

But's it's delivered in a fine, if brightly colored, box with a note attached:

Surprised and well pleased by the gift, Byakuya spends a full afternoon pouring over the scroll. He didn't find it a dry read at all. (Some of the techniques noted are very interesting. Although not suitable for sustained use back when the scroll was penned, perhaps combined with modern knowledge it could yield interesting results...)

...but why did Kyouraku-taichou feel it necessary to use only his first name on the note?
