I seem to recall some web based word processing application. Does this exist or did I dream it? To my mind it is a perfect google web 2.0 product but I couldn't see it on there.

Not that I have any interest in using such a product, but it would be great to point people at any time they mentioned the worst software known to man1

Good good, i'm not going mad . Thank you.

One day google will control the world. Not sure If that will be any better than microsoft doing so but, a change is as good as a rest, or something like that :)

docs.google.com will stifle a lot of MS Office alternatives as well though as they will loose the users who need a quick option but don't wish to pay for it. They might, otherwise, have explored what more powerful applications may do for them. Instead we will have documents limited to features that GoogleOffice supports (ok, this might be a Good ThingTM...)

ThinkFree will almost certainly become less desirable.
Even OpenOffice might loose a few converts to Googley.

This may be a Bad ThingTM

Google + YouTube = GooTube.

What! Where dou you get that idea from? :)

My pathological fear/objection/inability to essay writing conbined with the most used software for said activity being rather irritating and bad, kind of catapluted my anti MS feeling way beyond a reasonable position.
