But that's besides the point. New Misfits was tonight, waiting till I get my hands on a download before I try to give a long review, but the basics are:
Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt.
Seriously, it was perfect. Given Alisha is my favorite character I was so pleased with this ep going into her backstory via her past with Rudy. It was

I'm totally having a my thoughts exactly moment. She's definitely the character with the most growth. I can still see uncertainty and awkward shyness in Simon's character but he is trying (and it's so cute).
I do hope they expand on Kelly more because she definitely is still in the same place as when she started her community service. The only real change seems to be a steady group of friends.
I wish people would just admit they just don't like her.

I think people have a hard time just admitting their dislike because there is no real reason not to. So they use the usual excuse for not like female characters, which is lack of development but that definitely doesn't apply here.

She's changed quite a lot. :-)

And yes, she has which is why it is so frustrating when people say stupid things like that.

She got the telepathy due to her insecurity about the way others perceive her and then she now chooses a power that signifies intelligence due to that very same insecurity.YES! I love looking at all their powers that way. Alisha, not wanting to be "that person" anymore choosing an empathetic power; Simon, now so concerned with what the future brings wants to see all the possibilities; and Curtis, well, I think it'll be revealed that his choice still deals with regret and wanting to get back (instead of literally ( ... )

Another thing I love about how the Rudy/Alisha story-line as it's written is that it potentially forms a commonality between Rudy and Simon even as their personalities are so different. I can very easily see Simon sympathizing or empathizing a bit with Rudy because he know how it feels to not just want someone and then get rejected on such an intense level but to want Alisha and have her be dismissive. (See series 1 and ep 2x01) It can make for some potentially interesting moments.
Freaking fandom, why must they hate the women I love? And I get missing S1 Simon, I do as well but I don't think he's totally gone. Understandably he's far more adjusted and because he's accepted now it has done wonders for the dark undercurrent he had going on previously. But he's still a bit of an obsessive creepster, both Future Simon and Present Simon.
