further inspiration
i've come up with more costume options, and am putting them here so i can mentally toss them about more easily. feel free to give thoughts.
- a ballerina (it might be a little cold, and boring. also, my poor pointe shoes.)
- sonic the hedgehog (i have spiky blue hair, and lots of blue clothing. this is not sexy, though, and really way dorky for me.)
- a gypsy-thing, with a crystal ball and many scarves (did this two years ago, i think; still fail at having a big floofy skirt. whoops.)
- a magician (i have this hat, you see, and other useful props. i think i'd need a nice jacket with tails, though, maybe a tux, but could jury-rig a cape.)
- abe lincoln (slightly less formal than the magician, but plus a beard-thing)
- a rock star (i think i need to do laundry. oh dear.)
- a rainbow, or an agent of the homosexual agenda (i'll have to check, but i think i have clothing in every colour necessary. it might look godawful, but i bet it'll be good for some laughs.)
it's also entirely plausible that i can do something simpler on friday and then manage to fix my hair, go to garment district, and rock something more complex on saturday. oh god, i am so overscheduled.
