i'll put off the squeeing about particles until tomorrow, when i'll have been to all my classes; in the meantime, how many past lives do you think i have? (edit: context)

Well, in systems, there's a saying that of everything there is either 0, 1, or an arbitrary number. You clearly have at least 1 life, so 0 total lives are out (or maybe you have -1 past life?), which leaves either 0 past lives or an arbitrary number. If it's an arbitrary number, it can't be any *specific* arbitrary number, because that wouldn't be elegant, so it has to be an infinite number.

Well, it makes sense to me...
