what happened to the big rainbow flag you had at Roast?

i left it in the basement saturday night (taped over the TV room door for the burlesque dancers changing inside) and when i cam back a few days later it had been Cleaned Up. presumably if i am lucky i can filch another one from the Haus stock of such things, but it will be difficult to be around at the right time.

*nod* good luck. you could make yourself one, too.

I'm tempted to suggest, wait until August, and if running around the playa telling people you need a rainbow flag fails to produce, buy. Why the sudden desire for a phone?

that is a really good idea. maybe i will try it this weekend also.

um, phone. it suddenly seems useful for reasons of 'i'm at the store, tell me things' or 'i'm walking home, things were delayed, don't wait dinner for me.' -> i have a house of people who sometimes wonder where i am, and communicate in realtime via phone, and it suddenly seems more useful. also useful for getting included in last-minute crazy plans, though this is less likely, given that i don't have neat things like a car.

Yeah. I should have made my parents leave you the phone. Trial period. Oops.

This image of a six-foot shotglass is really a terrible idea to be giving me. Why do you do these things?

I always say that I like other people having cell phones much more than I like having a cell phone myself. It's good that I can always reach them, but I don't want to be reachable.

i'm not sure that's irrational. paying a lot for stuff that doesn't work well is obnoxious. in my case, the most consistently convincing reason i have for not getting one is that cell phone payment plans are complicated and carefully designed to maximize ripping off the customer. i see no reason to do business with those sorts of jerks.

where does one acquire a six-foot-tall drinking vessel for the G&T taller than yourself?

it was kindof a figure of speech. mostly in the middle, when it seemed like no matter how many sips i took, the liquid level didn't seem to be dropping! it was v. distressing. i imagine one could hook up two of those beer-tower things, i think they're 3' tall, and have a blast with that. alternatively, ask the right frat boy, and i bet you'll get a good answer.

maybe an extra-long pipette, if such things exist?
