need hair dye?

I have two posts to write that just get longer and longer, one full of awful crushing depression and the other full of the awesome things I've been up to recently. But this post has none of that, it is all about the requesting!

i still kinda want to make my hair purple without dying it. I don't know if that's possible, and know nothing about hair dye.

They make spray on/wash off colored hair sprays (for example, at the Garment District), but other than that you're probably SOL. The stuff most of us use for hair color tends to wash out in weeks or months - depending on how often you shower, whether you bleach, etc - so it's not short-term. I hear Manic Panic is a bit faster if you want to try something short-term.

That said, I'd love 3 bottles of Special Effects Electric Blue :^)

$7-8 (call it <$10 w/shipping) per bottle (3-5 oz.?); I use 1/4-1/3 of a bottle to dye all my hair. You're not local, so I'm not sure this makes sense for you.

Yeah, while that's a lot cheaper than what I paid for a similarly sized tube of Fudge recently, I suspect it's just that Fudge is a ripoff. There must be another local source for hair dye and I'm just not looking.
