Fandom/Pairing: Stargate Atlantis - McKay/Sheppard
Length: 100 words
Summary: For the
spook_me challenge
Another drabble!
John stared in horror at the blue scales dotting his skin. No! Carson had cured him of the Iratus bug infection. He couldn't be relapsing!
The evidence was damning. Scales grew as he watched, individual dots became larger patches, joined together. Scales crept across his arms, up his legs, around his torso.
Before he could call for help, the scales crawled up his neck, changed the shape of his ears -- the radio tumbled to the floor.
The clattering woke him with a start. A dream!
"Rodney," he chittered to his mate. "I had the strangest dream... I had pink skin..."
Title from the Salvador Dali quote: "When I was five years old I saw an insect that had been eaten by ants and of which nothing remained except the shell. Through the holes in its anatomy one could see the sky. Every time I wish to attain purity I look at the sky through flesh."
The
spook_me creature I chose was, obviously, mutant... and this just made the header and notes longer than the story! LOL...
